Liebster Award

Thank you to https://fimnorawestcaw.wordpress.com/ for nominating me for the “Liebster Award.” I was very surprised to be nominated. I have just started blogging on a regular basis, since December 30, 2014. Everyone should check out Femnora’s blog. The title to her blog is Quantum Hermit.

Her writing is beautiful, as she tells her stories through words and music. Fimnora has helped me out, trying to understand wordpress a little better. Thank you again, Fimnora for thinking of me. I accept this award with pride.

2. Which of your owns posts is your favorite, and why?

“Can you smell the apple crisp?” This is my favorite post, because it reminds me of my Grandmother.

3. What is your most favorite quote from a movie? What is the movie?

“Some of us will never ever find true love. Take, for instance…me. And I’m pretty sure that guy right there. And that lady with the sideburns. And basically everybody at table nine.”

4. If you could time travel, where would you go, and why?

I would travel to Antioch, Ca., date August 16, 2003. So, I could be with my son Mark, before he died. Hopefully, to change the situation, so he would be here today. He would of been 30 years old this June. He passed away at age 18.

5. What is one moment you can remember which changed your life?

Working on my first movie as a costume designer and going into Warner Bros Studio to pick out wardrobe.

6. Who would you want to play you in a movie about your life?

Drew Barrymore

7. What is your favorite genre of fiction?

Modern Fairy Tales

8. Who or what encouraged you to become a writer?

I was encouraged by my dreams. I have a movie theater inside my head. Sounds funny, huh… When I go to sleep I have vivid dreams, not just one dream, but double block buster features. I told myself, it’s time to write… Just write it out.

Also, my dear friend Josh Gilbert is a brilliant writer. He would send me emails, that would make my jaw drop. He has such a way with words, that I can only inspire to write like him. My mother has also been a big encouragement.

9. What book have you read more than once?

“Tithe” by Holly Black. It’s a modern fairy tale.

10. What other art form are you most interested in?

Film Editing.

1) Who is your favorite painter or artist? Frederick Church

2) If you could live any where in the world, where would it be? And why?
This is an interesting question. My initial answer would be Hawaii. I like the idea of the tropics. I live in the Northeastern US which has winters that last half the year (or so it feels like to me). But there are places which look beautiful to me in pictures. I love the way Australia looks, and New Zealand (thank you Lord of the Rings). I’ve lived in Texas and we’re considering moving back there, which makes that more realistic. But I love the United Kingdom (Ireland is gorgeous, as is Scotland, and some of the terrific little English villages – except it rains too much lol).

3) How old where you, when you had your first crush? That would Harry Chung, and I was in 3rd grade so I was around seven years old.

4) Who is your favorite tv or movie star? That is SO hard since every time I see someone new, I go mad crazy for them. But I saw you mention Al Pacino, and I’m a huge fan! Of course I really love Johnny Depp, and not just because he sexy sexy. He’s quite a fine actor. Anthony Hopkins and Jason Connery are wonderful.

5) What was the first car you ever drove?
I think it was a Chevy Impala, and I don’t remember what year it was. But my first official car, since that Chevy lasted all of 2 days, was a Toyota Corolla, and it was a 1976 car.

6) Why do you blog? Because I love writing. I’ve been writing since I was five years old. Blogging, I’ve discovered is also an amazing way to meet great new people, and find new passions through other people’s ideas and ways.

7) Do you want your blogging to take you to other writing avenues?
I’ve always wanted to have a book published – fiction. I started writing one years ago, and got through 250 pages of stuff, but have not finished it yet.

8) How many languages do you speak? I speak one real language – English, and one language which my husband and I made up. It’s called Altherian.

9) What is your favorite animal? I don’t think I’ve met an animal I didn’t love. My current top five is Orca, Mouse, Chipmonk, Hawk, and cats of all kinds. Oh and sock monkeys (mine reminded me he should be on this list).

10) Do you believe in ghost, spirits or vampires? If so, why?
The word Spirit is something I associate with Soul, which is in all things. So a big yes on that. Ghosts, for me, are the residual aspect of a being’s energy which remains, sometimes because it has not finished a life lesson, but more likely as Spirit Guides. Vampires, while fictional, represent those in life who prey upon people/beings, for their own selfish reasons. I love the whole genre of Vampires, in fiction and on film because of the immortality they represent.

11) If someone gave you a box, what do you wish would be inside of it?
I’d wish for a special power to be inside, which would allow me to heal others, and myself, physically, emotionally, mentally and help them to help themselves.

  I like Al Pacino too! Thanks for answering the questions. Did you post it also on your page, to let people know, you received the award? Also, it says to nominate 11 people, who have under 200 followers. You can post the award to your page, then name 11 people. You also have to make up 11 questions for them to answer. The rules are on my post. It took me awhile to do this… If you need more help, let me know. I understand, If you decide you, you want to stop now… That’s fine to… Thanks for the great answers. 🙂
