As I look through WordPress, I glance at the freshly pressed blogs.  It reminds me of a freshly squeezed glass of orange juice.  You never know how it will taste.  It could be bitter, sweet, too much pulp, etc…  There are all kinds of blogs, from every topic one could imagine.  There are happy blogs, sad blogs, picture blogs, cooking blogs, interesting blogs and uninteresting blogs…  At least for me, it might be uninteresting, but that’s okay.

The thing they all have in common, is people from all over the world are putting their thoughts and feelings down, for us to read.  When we read a blog, it gives us an opportunity to see into someone elses mind.  To learn a little bit about someone, who’s ideas we might find enjoyable or not.  A chance for us to get to know someone, without actually meeting them.  Sounds a little weird.

We tend to say, I know that person, even though we haven’t meet them in person, but we read their blog.  You might say to someone, “I know him or her.”  If you have a facebook page, you may have 500 friends, but are they really your friends…?  I have a Facebook page and even though I don’t know, everyone on my page, I still consider them to be my Facebook friends.

Its a new age and time, where blogging has become an important part of ones life.  As I scroll through the freshly pressed blogs, I look to see who,  I would like to be friends with… Maybe the storyteller, or the fairy tale writer…  Or the lady who still wants her children, to believe in Santa Claus…  Maybe all of them.

Is it that time already?  I am laying down, tired as can be… I imagine the white rabbit say, “you’re late, you’re late.”. As he is pointing to his wrist watch.  It’s time to go, time to go to Mothers house.  Her house will still  undoubtley, smell like Christmas.  All of a sudden, the telephone rings and it’s… Mom.

Her voice in a hurry tone, tells me she is running late.  What a surprise, so am I.  She is baking all kinds of treats, to take to her husband family, as they are still celebrating Christmas.  I say, “don’t worry, I will be there soon.”  Or will I…?  Yes, I will be there.  Sometimes, we do things out of the goodness of our heart, other times we do not.

Today, is the day I go to mothers house and I am truly delighted.  Even though Christmas was exhausting, I can see her Christmas tree, with a little life left, knowing soon it will be time to go.  Another year is almost gone.     What’s that noise I hear…?  The white rabbit is back. Yes, I know I am late, but I am leaving in a minute… 😉

Things have been better this year.  My friends, who are expericing life difficulties, are still around.  As I wonder what is in store for the new year, I cringe slightly wondering, what the new year will bring.  I  can only hope good cheer for all, peace & wellness.

Since this is my first blog, I hope you will be patient with me, as I travel the blog road.  Any suggestions, are welcomed.  Do I have writers block, maybe…  I keep imagining those blackbirds from the Dumbo movie, singing away… Not sure what there singing though.

The holidays are almost over, but as soon as we know it, they will be back.  Running around for this and that has been exhausting.  On the plus side, I have discovered the world of Deco Mesh!  I made a Christmas tree for my mom out of deco mesh and lights.  Turned out, pretty, pretty good, if I don’t say so myself.
