Love is… Unknown.

Love is happy, love is sad

Love is strange, love is lame

Love is great, love is rare

Love is wonder,  love is hate

Love is demand, love is canned

Love is incredible, love is trouble

Love is nice, love is bad

Love is caring, love is daring

Love is well, love is sick

Love is fresh,  love is stale

Love is seeing, love is blind

Love is hot, love is cold

Love is smart, love is stupid

Love is sharing, love is selfish

Love is  playing, love is bashful

love is grand, love is bland

Love is sexy, love is crazy

Love is glam, love is bland

Love is real, love is fake

Love is found, love is gone

Love is close, love is distant

25 Things I’ve Learned From Marrying An Italian

This post reminds me of my family. Hopefully, some of you share the same experiences.
This post is a reblog from a great writer: http://johannagallo.com/

Delightfully Chaotic

As 2014 comes to a close, I sit here smiling to myself as I think about all of the new things I’ve “learned” thanks to my year here in Italy. It’s a lovely country and so are the people, so bare in mind that these are just meant to be fun things I’ve experienced personally with my husband (who’s from southern Italy), his family and friends here, or stories I’ve heard from other expat friends. There are certainly some generalizations, but it’s only meant to be taken lightheartedly and provide a bit of laughter and insight to my oh-so-fabulous life here in Italy! 🙂

1. Cold-drafts are the devil. No really, air-conditioning will kill you, or if you’re lucky, just leave you paralyzed. In no other part of the world is cold air as deadly as it is in Italy. The slightest mention of a headache will cause them…

Relationship… Hang ups…

Phone rings…

Girl: “Hello?”

Guy: “Hey.”

Girl: “What?”

Guy: “Huh?”

“What do you want?”

“What do you mean what?”

“What do you want?”

Guy: “Whatever.”

“What do u want?”

“I’m just checking in.”

“For what?”

“Just checking in.”

Girl: “Whatever!”

Guy: “Yeah, whatever.”

Girl hangs up the phone.

5 minutes later…

Phone rings…

Which version do you like better?  Using Girl/Guy or Lisa/Jerry

Phone rings…

“Hello?”

“Hey Lisa.”

“What Jerry?”

“Huh?”

“What do you want Jerry?”

“What do you mean what?”

“What do you want?”  Lisa raises her voice.

“Whatever.” Jerry answers sharply.

“What do u want?”

“I’m just checking in.”

“For what?”

“Just checking in.”

Frustrated Lisa replies, “Whatever!”

Jerry shouts, “Yeah, whatever.”

Lisa hangs up the phone.

5 minutes later…

Phone rings….

Playing in the rain…

Raindrops… Drop, drop, drop

Raindrops… Stop, stop, stop.

Playing in the rain, is such a pain

Gloves not working, socks are wet

I’m getting a chill, I hope I don’t get I’ll

My face is wet, fingers are numb

Oh frostbite… What have you done

Shoes are sloshing, nose is running

The wind is twrilling, the leaves are blowing

It’s time for me to get going…

Ch 2: MOROI

My fingers are shaking, as I reach for the chain and lock the deadbolt.  I run to the windows to make sure they are all locked and I close my blinds.  I am scared… Really scared.  Like freaking out scared… Wondering what or who is this guy.  It’s was hard to get a good look at him,  but I know it’s a man.  I hate being scared, especially when I am alone.

I go into my bedroom and lock the door.  I get into bed, pull the covers up over me and wait.  Wait for what I think… Just waiting.

I must have dozed off.  I look at the clock and It’s been about an hour.  So far so good, nothing has happened.  As I start to get up, I hear a noise at my door.  I jump back in bed.  It can’t be Saul he is out-of-town. Could it be that man I saw by the tree? Could it?

A few hours later, I finally get up. I walk over to my front door.  Slowly opening it I step outside. Everything, seems fine.  What a relief.  As I turn around I notice something, that I had not noticed before. Perched on top of my gate is a glove. A black glove. My glove…

MOROI

I looked out the window, wondering when the sun would set. I hoped, dusk would be approaching soon. I could not stop thinking about the night before. I went for a walk in the garden late last night. As I looked over the hedges, I could see something or someone. I was not sure, what it was… As I peered closer to get a better look, the figure disappeared. Was I dreaming? No, I am sure I saw something.

Tonight I will go outside just before dusk, in hopes to get a better look, in case the something or someone comes back.  I have always been a curious person. Wanting to know everything. Now in my early twenties, I am just as curious. It’s almost dusk, I quickly get dressed. I must bring a warm jacket, hat and scarf.  Oh… And gloves.  I hate the cold.  So, if I do happen to gaze upon this creature again, then I want to be ready. Ready for anything.

As I leave  my flat and lock up, I think, maybe I should bring a flashlight. So, I go back in and grab a light. It’s so very quiet outside tonight. The moon is full, the birds are still and the trees have stopped dancing.  I feel a little nervous, as I walk to the end of the garden and look over the hedge, I see… I see…  nothing. I turn on my flashlight to get a better look. I know I saw something last night.

It’s very dark outside.  I am wondering if I should wait until daybreak, then I can go out by the trees and get a better look.  As I am walking back to the flat, I hear a noise, so I hurry to get inside.  Just as I step inside, something grabs my shoulder. I scream and quickly turn around. There is my best friend Saul laughing at me.

“I scared you”, he said.

I pushed him back, and said, “what the hell, you ass, I almost had a heart attack.”

” Why are you so skittish,  Saul asked?”

“I saw something last night out by the trees, behind the garden,” I replied.

“Well there is a lot of trees back there, could have been an animal of some sorts, ” Saul said.

” I don’t know, I said, it looked pretty big.  I am not sure, but I think it was a person.”

” A person, well that’s no good, you don’t want some weirdo running around in the woods, so close to your place.” Saul replied.

“Yeah, I know… But you know me, I had to go out and look.”

Saul answered,  “ya, I know you, you are always getting into something.”

“Ya, whatever,” I said, as I cracked a smile.

The next morning, I woke up early. I planned to do a little investigating, hoping to see something. I went outside and locked my door.  When I walked around the garden, towards the trees, I saw a shiny image. As I got closer, the suns rays were shinning upon a silver area by the tree. “What the heck is this,” I thought.  I reached out to touch the tree.  All of a sudden the silver area disappeared.  I jumped back and yelled, “ouch!” The area on the tree was hot, now I have burned my fingers.

As I turn around, to head back home, I noticed a black shadow that is running through the trees. I yell, “hello… hello,” but it disappears.  Now, I am nervous. What could it be?  I quickly hurry back to get  inside.  I turn around one last time. I see a man standing by the tree. He is looking at me. He is wearing a long coat and dressed all in black. He has black hair, dark as coal. I run back inside and lock my door.

Blogging Neighbor…

So, I am on to assignment 3 today, for blogging101 course. Trying to play catch up… The assignment For yesterday, was meet your neighbors. I had to follow 5 new blogs and 5 new topics, I think that’s right. Wow… Not as easy as I thought. Everytime, I would start to read a blog that I liked, I noticed at the end of the post it was category that I was already following.

I then went out to the freshly pressed blogs, then to readers favorite blogs, then topics, tags, etc… I finally settled on topics. My new blogs that I decided to follow are humor, family, art, culture and travel. I read some great blogs today, that I wouldn’t have read, if I had not done my assignment. Some of them, might not have been my favorite categories, but I quite enjoyed reading them, after scrolling through the topics list.

Being able to see blogs from all over the world is quite exciting. I even discovered one blog, where I and the blogger had the same phobias. I thought… Wow… There is someone out there like me and the thing we have in common is more than just typing away on our blog. Well, that’s what I learned today. Take a chance and try to follow someone, you might never of thought of following. You might be pleasantly surprised, to learn a thing or two.

What will be… C’est la vie…

catsThe name of my blog is “whatever it is, it’s not so bad.”  Today I have changed my title, for my second blogging101 assignment.  I guess, they want to know if I know how to change my title.  Yes, I do.  The reason I picked my original title is because I try to see the positive, that life has to offer.  Life has many challenges, good and bad.  When I open my blog each day, I can glance at the title, to see a little reminder, that life is okay.

That what will be, will be. As long as I try to give my best effort, life can’t be that bad.  We tend to complain about our life, the obstacles that we face, the ups and downs.  Sometimes, it seems there is too many downs and not enough ups.  One way I remind myself to be positive, is that I have another day on this earth.  I wake up and say, “thank you, for another day.”  To myself, of course…lol.  I get another chance to see the trees, the sky and the birds.  Another day to see my family and friends.

When I was younger, I would say, “whatever,” when I didn’t like something or things weren’t going my way.  Whatever this, whatever that…  I wouldn’t really think things through, just a quick whatever would do.  I even had a friend who I hadn’t spoken to for a number of years, ask me if I still said, whatever.  I never thought, I said it that much.  Now, my feelings have changed, about using that word. Actually, I rarely say the word anymore. My new saying is “C’est la vie.”

It is a French saying, which means “that’s life or that’s the way it goes.”  So this is reason, I choose my title, “whatever it is, it’s not so bad.”
